Previously, FH UMJ was accredited A since 2016. This accreditation was successfully maintained and extended until 2027. Head of the Law Study Program, FH UMJ, Dr. Aby Maulana, MH., explained that the government had changed policies regarding accreditation, so adjustments would be made and accreditation would return in 2023.

"We maintain a conducive learning process, increase the functional positions of lecturers, increase the reputation of research and publications, maintain the stability of student admissions, the number of graduates each year and the timeliness of graduation, as well as the absorption of graduates in the world of work," said Aby when met at the FH UMJ Building, Wednesday (18/10/2023).

This strategy continues to be maintained and improved by the FH UMJ academic community. Aby admitted that over a period of six years, the leadership of FH UMJ intensively directed lecturers to further study and improve their functional positions. According to his calculations, 60 to 70 percent of lecturers at FH have doctoral degrees plus the birth of one professor.

Another strategy is to pay attention to the curriculum which will change to MBKM in 2022. Now FH UMJ is implementing outcome based education which provides skills-based education so that graduates can immediately apply their knowledge in the world of work.

Not only that, FH UMJ also takes an approach by networking and building partnerships with the business world and alumni. This is an effort to increase graduate achievement not only in terms of the number of graduates but also uptake in the business world.

The preparation and monitoring process in preparing for accreditation also involves many parties from both faculties and universities, including the Quality Assurance Agency (BPM) which often provides mentoring and internal audits. This can help study programs to immediately take a stand and make improvements.

"Getting the title of Excellence is not easy because there must be aspects of mutual support between university leaders, faculties, study programs, lecturers, staff and students. "We must support everything for academic and non-academic development," concluded Aby.

Aby hopes that the Law Study Study Program can maintain its accreditation and that the university can continue to make efforts to improve, improve and improve so that it can support university accreditation.

Dean of FH UMJ Dr. Dwi Putri Cahyawati, MH., admitted that it was not easy to get the Superior title because they had to fulfill the requirements and go through the mechanisms regulated by law. In this case, Dwi hopes that the Law Study Program can maintain its achievement of Superior accreditation.

"The study program must be able to maintain and improve the quality of the curriculum, the quality of human resources, achieving the tridharma of higher education, cooperation, and building a modern governance system. "Apart from that, what is no less important is maintaining stability related to the number and quality of graduates, as well as tracer studies," said Dwi.
